Even if you can get out of your driveway, the travel ban is still in effect in the City of Buffalo and many state roads. Officials do not want people on the roads, as it is still not safe to travel and people driving can impede clean-up efforts. This evening, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown reminded people that the travel ban is still in place, tweeting,

As clean up efforts continue in the City of Buffalo from the winter storm, City Hall will be closed tomorrow. A Driving Ban remains in effect for the City of Buffalo.

The Erie County Executive, Mark Poloncarz, also tweeted an update. While the driving ban has been lifted in some areas of the county, it is still in effect for other parts,

The Driving Ban will be lifted in the Town of Amherst as of 7 pm. The Driving Ban will NOT be lifted for Buffalo, Lackawanna, and Cheektowaga during the overnight hours. Lackawanna and Cheektowaga will be revisited in the morning; Buffalo will continue through tomorrow. As of 5pm, we have lifted driving bans for the Town and Village of Hamburg, Village of Blasdell, and Town of Clarence; driving advisories remain for all municipalities not under a driving ban. All of Erie County remains under a State of Emergency.

There is also still a ban on travel on many state roads, according to the New York Department of Transportation,

The following state routes remain closed for safety until weather conditions improve: * Route 5 (I-90 to Big Tree) * Route 219 (I-90 to Peters Road) * Route 400 (I-90 to Route 16) * I-90 (through Niagara County) * I-290 (entire) * Route 198 (entire) * I-990 (entire)
