Two weeks before his album Starboy is set to drop, The Weeknd is no longer dating model Bella Hadid.

People reports that the couple called it quits after a year and a half together. The two had appeared on numerous red carpets together, as photographed above, with Hadid starring in the video for "In the Night," off The Weeknd's 2015 album Beauty Behind the Madness.

“Their schedules have been too hard to coordinate and he is focusing on finishing and promoting his album,” a source confirmed to the celebrity publication. “They still have a great deal of love for one another and will remain friends.”

With the singer getting ready to embark on a worldwide tour come February, whatever scheduling conflicts existed before may have stood to only intensify. By June of next year, Weeknd will have toured throughout the States, Canada, the U.K. and more.

Starboy will be released on Nov. 25. Beauty Behind the Madness propelled him to mainstream stardom, going three times platinum and earning him Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Album of the Year. The singer said in September that Starboy is the best-sounding album he’s ever made and that the production feels aggressive but still sexy. Influences on the album include Prince, DeBarge, Bad Brains and more.

Relationships and encounters have long been the main subject matter for The Weeknd's music, so how this split informs the music of Starboy remains to be seen.
