The Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo is Virtual this Year

The Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo will be virtual this year.  Here's the schedule for the Sankofa Days and the Festival itself.

The theme for the 2020 Juneteenth Festival of Buffalo is “Free and Clear: The Evolution of Juneteenth."

6/5/2020 - Juneteenth Headquarters - Flag-raising - 1:00 p.m. - closed to the public.

6/6/2020 - 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Zoom Video-conference (live via Juneteenth Facebook, YouTube, and Website)

"Regional Roundtable" - hosted by Ras Jomo Akona with the Festival's special guest, Prof. Gloria Browne-Marshall and others.

6/8 - 6/12/2020 - Virtual Sankofa Days - New content added each evening,  including: 6/11/2020 - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. -  Buffalo Public Schools Office of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives "PANDEMIC Virtual Town Hall"  (live via Juneteenth Facebook, YouTube, and Website)

6/13 - 6/14/2020 - Exclusive premier of Kelly Diane Galloway's documentary "Sold Next Door, " which is about modern day slavery and human trafficking.

6/13 - 6/14/2020 – starting at 10:30 a.m. daily

Content featuring prayer and praise, health, history, arts and culture, sports, edutainment, education, book-sharing, Board of Education arts projects, children and youth activities, entertainment, special messages, the Maafa Memorial and more.
