The 2020 Excellence in Education Awards, which had been scheduled for April, were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the Awards, which would have been held live at Roswell Park’s Hohn Auditorium, will be televised.  You can watch the Awards Show on WBBZ-TV on Sunday, June 14th at 8 pm.  It will also stream on Facebook.

The 2020 Excellence in Education Awards recognizes outstanding educators in Buffalo, as well as administrators and support staff, according to a press release emailed to me. The televised event will feature all of the Awards finalists and winners, entertainment and special guests.

“During this unprecedented time across the world, where educators had to adapt quickly to teaching virtually rather than in person, we are excited to announce the opportunity to salute and celebrate teachers, support staff, and administrators, our unsung heroes in Buffalo public, private, and charter schools.” ~ Friends For A Better Buffalo Founder and President, Terrance L. Heard, via a press release
