Teenage Murder Suspects Charged For Shooting at Lockport Halloween Party
According to WIVB, Two teenage boys have been charged with killing a young girl while she was attending a Halloween party over the weekend.
There has been a spike in violent crimes all over Western New York, and now Lockport is at the center of attention with this tragedy. According to WIVB, the teen's names have not yet been released because of their age. The two boys, one 16 and the other 17 are being charged with criminal possession of a weapon and intentional murder.
According to WIVB, Police Cheif Steve Abbott said,
It's still a very active investigation. We need the public to come forward if they have any information. They have been fantastic. We have gotten videos. We have gotten text messages. Additional charges are pending.
The party was taking place at a home on South Niagara Street in Lockport, and the young lady who died on her way to the hospital was named Cheyenne Farewell, 21, According to WIVB she was a graduate of Medina High School, and was attending College at Brockport. The other five people hit by gunfire ranged from ages 15 to 21.
The suspects are due back in court on Monday, Bail has been set at $500,000 cash, or $1 million bond said DA, Caroline Wojtaszek according to WIVB.
