Erie County District Attorney John Flynn says that 52-year-old Shawn Connors repeatedly punched the teacher in the face while a child was watching on March 25. He says the teacher fell and had injuries to his face and knees.

Connors was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal trespass, and child endangerment. He's due back in court on May 20, and could be sentenced to seven years in prison if convicted.

The attack happened at about 6:49 a.m. on March 25 outside the school, according to the Buffalo News.

Allegedly, the attack was in retaliation for the teacher's son punching Connors' son.
