New York State was above the national average for overdose deaths.

Heroin has become an epidemic here in Western New York that has no signs of slowing down. In fact the number of deaths from the drug between 2014 and 2015 nearly doubled according to the Erie County Health Department. There were 10 deaths this year alone in the month of March...

Ok, let's see...marijuana is Illegal and you can be jailed for possessing it; however, heroin (although also Illegal) is DEADLY!  So does that constitute one drug being TABOO and the other having designated "SAFE INJECTION SITES" created so "Users" can "USE SAFELY"...

Two people have been arrested for possessing 980 Bags of Heroin in their home according to the WIVB News and that's GREAT... but I question whether this will even put a dent in the Problem! The Heroin was found after a raid on a lower front apartment in the 100 block of Fifteenth Street...

Huh? Say what? A New York mayor wants to allow heroin users to shoot up without fear of being arrested by police! Do you think it's a good idea?

Between January 29 and February 7, 23 people have died in Erie County from a heroin overdose. Heroin overdose has become uncontrolled and has become an epidemic in Buffalo. Local firefighters say they use a medication called Narcan DAILY to revive persons overdosing on heroin!

This is a VERY DISTURBING story in my opinion...
