Over the years there has been more and more controversy and opposition regarding Christmas being recognized as a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.  Major Department Store chains such as Macy's have in past years forbidden the use of the word "Christmas" in any of their ads, displays or wordings relative to anything associated with their stores...
