Stefon Diggs’ Sports Car Gets Stuck In The Buffalo Snow?
Growing up in Western New York, you learn quickly the tools of the trade how to get through a Buffalo winter.
Personally, I think Buffalo winters are a bit overhyped. Sure, we get those two or three lake effect snowstorms every year, but most of the other time it's not unlike any other northeast portion of the country; although the reputation has grown over the years, and Buffalonians take pride in winter driving skills.
However, most of us have gotten stuck in the snow a time or two. It should be because you've been at work all day and it snowed your car in a bank that needs to be pushed out. Perhaps your tires a bald and you slip and slide in place and need help getting out of the snow -- whatever the case may be.
Buffalo got hit with a pretty strong lake effect snowstorm that brought around a foot of snow at the Buffalo airport today, with a few more inches expected as the band sinks southward into ski country tonight.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs is spending his second winter in Western New York, and he apparently got the full Buffalo experience today, as word of his sports car getting stuck in the snow made the rounds on social media.
On the corner of Bailey and Clinton by a Tim Horton's, too. Now that's a Buffalo picture if I've ever seen one.
Stefon Diggs tweeted out on Thursday evening that he was not the one driving it but said he appreciated the concern.
Usually, those sports cars are the worst for winter driving. They drive fast and so smoothly, but because they're so low to the ground, it's easier for them to lose traction on the snow and ice.
It's easy to forget that Bills and Sabres players have the same everyday problems we have, sometimes.
The Bills play the Jets at Highmark Stadium to close out the regular season this Sunday at 4:25 pm. The Bills sew up the AFC East title with a win or a New England Patriots loss against the Miami Dolphins.
