Well, that escalated quickly!  Marijuana was just recently legalized here in New York State and now you can smoke like a chimney at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. The fair kicks off this Friday, August 20 and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 6, 2021.  According to Spectrum News, you will be allowed to smoke weed at the fair, if you are an adult.  Smoking will be permitted outside, but will not be allowed indoors or at Chevy Court and Chevy Park.

Admission Cost: Gate tickets are currently $3.00 (excluding fees and taxes)

Concerts: Free with paid admission (Nas, Tee Grizzley, 98 Degrees, Bell Biv Devoe, YG, Nelly and others are performing)

Nas Will Be Performing at the New York State Fair

Hip-Hop legend and rap god Nasir Jones will be hitting the stage at the New York State Fair. The even better news is that he will be performing for free (with paid admission to the Fair). Nas will be the opening day performer. You'll be able to catch him at 8 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021. It will have been six years since his last performance at the State Fair when he takes the stage. His last show at the Fair in 2015 drew an audience of 30,000 people and was the 8th biggest crowd at the Fair, according to Syracuse.com. Visit the website for more.

Erie County Fair to Return August 11 through August 22, 2021

The Erie County Fair will be held Wednesday, August 11 through Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the Hamburg Fairgrounds, located at 5600 McKinley Pkwy, Hamburg, NY 14075. The Board says that it will review New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's recent announcement and give more details in the near future.
