Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Safaree Samuels is mourning the loss of his uncle who was found murdered in his Palmdale, Calif. home on Friday (Aug. 25).

According to NBC4 Los Angeles, Samuels’ uncle, 64-year-old Vincent Roper, was stabbed to death by an unknown assailant. The victim lived alone, according to family and friends.

Acquaintances Marquisha and Anthony Kirklin went to check on Roper after he didn’t respond to their repeated text messages. They called 911 after they looked inside and saw the place was in disarray and blood on a daybed.

"He's a very clean guy," Kirklin told NBC4. "When I saw the disarray, I knew something was wrong."

Roper, a native of Jamaica, was a retired craftsman who was beloved by his neighbors and family. Samuels, understandably, is in shock over his uncle's death.

"He's not a problematic person," he said. "He's just, you know, a working man. I don't know who could have done this. He doesn't have any enemies. He's not that kind of person."

Samuels also went on his Instagram page asking the public's help in finding his uncle's killer.

"You were always so proud of me and proud I was your nephew... I'm Numb right now.. I'm only doing this because I want to bring awareness to some1 killing my uncle vern Vincent Roper and getting them caught," he wrote. "Palmdale California isn't that big of a place so I know someone knows what happened and you will be caught. Can't remember the last time I felt pain like this. Can't stop crying.. everything I do is gonna be for you."

Police have no suspects or motive at this time as the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information are asked to contact the Palmdale Sheriff's Station at 661-272-2400.

We want to send out heartfelt condolences to Safaree Samuels and his family.
