There are reports that there have been casualties as Russian military has started it's invasion of Ukraine. The news seems lopsided as early reports are indicating that the Ukrainian government is the only source of any information to media at this point.

There is video that shows explosions and what appears to be a pretty large attack in action.

The world is on high alert and there is much speculation as to what will happen next. But in most of the cities in Ukraine, things appear to be silent and there seems to be no traffic on the streets. The US and other countries have placed sanctions on Russia which seem to not have phased by the consequences of military action.

As of early Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry has denied any warlike action and claims that they are not targeting civilians and only are pinpointing key locations.
