Man Hides COVID-19 Symptoms to Help Wife with Delivery

According to a Rochester, NY news report broadcast on WIVB, a Rochester man lied about having symptoms of COVID-19 in order to enter Strong Memorial Hospital with his wife who was ready to have their baby.

The WIVB reports says that the woman did indeed have their baby, but that now she is positive with COVID-19.

Based on the man's actions, and according to the WIVB news report, the Honor System is over at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester and all visitor's temperature will be checked before entering Strong Memorial Hospital.

Also, according to another WIVB news report, all Rochester Regional and UR Medicine facilities have adopted a 'Universal Masking' policy.
