15 Rappers Celebrating Their Kids’ Graduation
With the school year having come to an end for many, and soon coming to an end for others, graduation SZN is in full effect. It’s the time for caps, gowns, banners, barbecues, college plans and proud parent moments. Even some of your favorite rappers have celebrated their kids’ convocation ceremonies.
For the high school class of 2019, Dr. Dre, Big Boi and T.I. have gotten to proudly praise their kids for collecting diplomas. Tip had two kids—Domani and Deyjah—graduate from high school in Atlanta. Big Boi’s son Cross’ graduation from the Woodward Academy in College Park, Ga. created an OutKast reunion when André 3000 showed up to support his partner in rhyme. Cross is heading to the University of Oregon on a football scholarship and was gifted a brand new Tesla by his famous pops. Dr. Dre’s daughter Truly will matriculate to the University of Southern California, which the super producer bragged about on Instagram back in March.
In past years, there have been several other rappers that have hopped on social media to proudly publicize the fact that their child has taken that next step, whether it’s completing kindergarten, middle school, high school or college, providing fans with multiple “I’m getting old” moments in the process.
With May and June being full of pomp and circumstance, XXL compiles a list of 15 rappers who have celebrated their child’s graduation in recent years including Diddy, Remy Ma, Birdman, Lil Wayne, The Game, and Busta Rhymes.
