The new season of Black Ink Crew: New York and Black Ink Crew: LA kick off tonight on Vh1. I had the pleasure of getting the tea about season 10 from one of the O.G.s of the show, Puma.

I saw a trailer for the new season on Vh1 and it looks like they are moving in a new direction now that Ceaser, the owner of Black Ink has left the show.

Picking up right where the season left off, the “Black Ink Crew: New York” Season 10 cast work to chart a path forward following the decision to cut ties with Ceaser just before the mid-season break. OG’s Puma and Teddy step up to run the business in Ceaser’s absence and find themselves conflicted with upholding the Black Ink Crew legacy while embarking on their own journey as entrepreneurs. When most of the tattooers decide they can’t work for a non-artist like Puma, he and Ted decide to take the reinvention of the shop a step further by bringing in a new group of artists

Ceaser left the franchise after he was caught on video allegedly abusing his dogs. With Cease gone, Teddy and Puma have to step up and keep the brand and franchise successful. Puma talked to me about what that feels like, carrying the weight of something so important on his shoulders. You can listen to our interview below.
