If you were to go around Western New York and ask, it is more than likely that just about every person you talk to would agree that 2025 has been one of the best summers we've had in the region in a very long time. From the amazing weather we've had to all of the great concerts, events, and shows that have hit the region, this summer has been one for the record books.
One of the things that makes Buffalo in the summer such a great place to be, live, and play is all the great food and ethnic festivals we have all over the region. From Rochester to Toronto, Niagara Falls to Chautauqua, the best food and people live in Western New York and Southern Ontario.
Some of the best in town were on full display at the 23rd Annual Puerto Rican and Hispanic Day Parade and Festival that took place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Buffalo.
Thousands Enjoyed Culture & Heritage At The 23rd Annual Puerto Rican and Hispanic Day Parade
From Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo to Porter Avenue on the city's Westside, thousands of people lined the streets of Avenida San Juan (Niagara Street) while a parade that is designed to honor the legacy and celebrate Hispanic culture went down the Avenida. Dozens of floats lined the streets with hundreds of revelers walking alongside them as Hispanic music of all flavors blasted from speakers.
There is just something special about watching people in the City of Good Neighbors celebrate the diversity that makes Buffalo so great.
The celebrations continued after the parade as people made their way back to Niagara Square for a cultural festival that featured great food, a KidZone, and amazing performances by DJ C-Perfect, Borinquen Dance Theatre, Ecos Borincanos & Irvin Santiago, Fusion Dancers, LaKrema, Las Voces Originales, and more.
If you didn't make it to the parade and festival, then you missed out on a key part of Buffalo life.
