Saturday, August 13, 2022, was a beautiful day on the Buffalo waterfront for a music festival and Drumwork Fest 2022 did not disappoint one bit.
Funtime Presents and Drumwork Music Group teamed up to bring the first major Hip Hop & R&B festival to Buffalo and Western New York, and thousands of music fans pulled up to the Lakeside Lawn on Buffalo's Outer Harbor to eat, drink, and enjoy music from some of the tops national and local music artists.

The festival kicked off at 5 pm with Adri V The Go Getta on stage serving as host of the entire show. Buffalo party rocker DJ Lil Gabby started to set things off as people were entering the venue playing some great music to begin to hype up the crowd.
Once DJ Lil Gabby finished her set, DJ T took over the stage to set the agenda for everyone in attendance.
The show proceeded with performances from a few different Griselda Records, Drumwork Music Group, and B$F artists like Goose, Jae Skeese, and 7xvethegenius who each rocked the stage and showed the crowd what Buffalo hip hop is all about.
Shortly after the Drumwork performances wrapped up, Wale took to the stage and immediately started with his hit Lotus Flower Bomb. The Washington DC-born rhymer then took the crowd through his catalog and just about everyone in attended sang right along.
Brooklyn-based rapper Fabolous took control of the stage once Wale wrapped up his set and immediately took everyone to New York City for a while. Fabolous reminded the crowd that he has been to Buffalo multiple times and Buffalo is one of the best places for hip hop in the world.
Buffalo-born DJ TJ Banks, formerly known as T-Jizzle, hit the stage coming fresh off of a tour with Future, Travis Scott, and The Weeknd, and rocked the crowd with some classic records that always gets a Buffalo crowd hype.
Once Fab left the stage, Buffalo's own Conway The Machine took over and thanked all of Buffalo for their support before going deep into his bag of music. During his performance, Conway took a quick break and Lloyd took the stage and jumped right into his chart-topping single You.
After Lloyd and Conway the Machine finished up, the headliner of Drumwork Fest took over. Jeezy, the multi-platinum Atlanta rapper, hit the stage and immediately sent Buffalo a shoutout and then proceeded to rock the crowd to all of his classic tracks.
The night ended with a group performance from the entire Griselda family, including Armani Caesar, Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, and Conway The Machine. After it was all said and done, Buffalo really showed up for this festival and it was a great night of music.
