People from all over Buffalo and Western New York gathered at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center to honor and celebrate the Buffalo Urban League at their 2022 Gala.

2022 marks the first time the Gala has been in person since the pandemic and was sponsored in part by Power 93.7 WBLK.

Officials from the Buffalo Urban League were excited to continue their time-honored tradition with nearly 900 in attendance.

The theme for the 2022 Annual Gala was Resilience: Celebrating the Power of Love and Humanity, and the Buffalo Urban League highlighted our communities’ resolve and commitment to restoration and rebuilding in the face of immense adversity.

In addition to the dinner and party, the Buffalo Urban League also gave away a number of awards to people in the Buffalo Niagara community to celebrate their contribution to making the lives of everyone better:

On Monday, October 31, 2022, Power 93.7 WBLK, the William-Emslie YMCA, and other community partners hosted Cans For Candy, an annual indoor trick-or-treating event inside of a safe and well-lit building. Each child who was trick-or-treating was requested to bring one (1) canned good or non-perishable food item to benefit Feedmore WNY.
