23 People Were Arrested In Niagara County

Police in Niagara County spent the past week arresting people accused of crimes. Niagara County is made up of quite a few cities, towns, and villages, including the City of Lockport, the City of North Tonawanda, the City of Niagara Falls, the Town of Lewiston, the Town of Lockport, the Town of Wheatfield, and the Village of Youngstown.

There is always a lot of stuff going on in Niagara County. This week, a driver plunged into the gorge.

The New York State Police released details about an accident that happened on April 2, 2025, in Niagara Falls State Park. A 42-year-old man from Niagara Falls drove his 2008 Toyota Tundra through a fence into the Niagara Gorge. The incident happened near Depot Avenue, near the Whirlpool Bridge. Surprisingly, the man survived the plunge and was able to exit his vehicle. He walked out of the Gorge and received medical treatment. Thankfully, there were no other victims involved in the accident. The solo victim was taken to EMCE and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He was certainly lucky and blessed that day!

The incident is being investigated by the New York State Park Police, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office.
