You have gotten to know her over the last few years on the television screen every morning, but before she dabbled in television, she was a radio personality. She has brought fun and smiles to Buffalo’s morning television audience, serving as one of your most trusted sources for news in Western New York.
From living to Los Angeles, Delaware, and Virginia, this news personality dove right into the Buffalo culture and quickly became part of our community, and we are going to miss having her around.
Jhas Williams, TV anchor and reporter for News 4 Buffalo, announced on her Instagram and Twitter page that she would be leaving her position at the company.
“Next Friday, 7.29, I'll be in a flurry of emotions for two reasons. 1. Because Beyonce is releasing her new album that day, and 2. Because it'll be my last day at News 4,” Williams tweeted.
While Jhas Williams has lived in many cities before finding her place at News 4, it’s safe to say that Buffalo will always be apart of her heart.
“I have lived in several cities by now and I have honestly spent so much of my life feeling relatively invisible, and easily forgettable...Until THEE Queen City,” she tweeted.
“No one has ever made me feel as embraced, as loved, and as appreciated as the people of the 716. Whatever you lack by way of warm weather, you make up for in warm people and you have become my family,” Williams shared.
She vowed to never stop serving Western New York and said that she’s always there for anyone in the 716 community.
“I'm gonna be all scaJACKEDup without you guys,” Williams said.
We’re going to miss you too, Jhas. Thank you for serving the 716.
