The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles will extend the deadline on inspections for motor vehicles that are set to expire soon, according to WKBW. If your inspection expires today (March 31) or after, the deadline has been extended until further notice. The Department of Motor Vehicles has made the decision due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition all Licenses, IDs, and vehicle registrations that expired March 1, 2020 or after, have been extended, according to The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. DMV offices have been closed until further notice.

"All DMV Traffic Violations Bureaus (TVBs) are adjourned through April 17th. Those who are scheduled to appear during this time will receive an adjournment notice from the DMV. DMV offices have been closed until further notice." ~ The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
