New York Residents Going Crazy Over This Necklace Kathy Hochul Wore [PHOTO]
It's been almost a week since Kathy Hochul took office as the new Governor of the State of New York. This after former Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned after numerous allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct from former staffers and one current staffer.
Hochul has already made important decisions in her few days as Governor and also has caused some uproar in the way of a necklace that she was seen wearing at the end of last week.
Jon Campbell of USA TODAY reports that Hochul was wearing a necklace that simply said, "vaxed."
Many on Twitter were saying it should say "vaxxed" instead of "vaxed," although technically, neither are actual words.
Hochul's most important decision so far is directing the New York State Department of Health to institute a universal mask requirement for all schools, both public and private.
She also announced last week an additional 12,000 deaths from COVID-19. The number increased from 43,400 to 53,395. The briefing from Hochul admitted to the public that the previous regime under Cuomo were not fully transparent in disclosing COVID-19 fatality data.
The number came from nursing home deaths, which Cuomo's office said it excluded to avoid double-counting.
