It's the worst kept secret ever that people share their Netflix passwords. Not everyone does but enough do it that Netflix wants to crack down on the trend.

According to WIVB, Netflix announced plans to crack down on password sharing by its customers at a quarterly earnings call.

Netflix's product chief Greg Peters says they are aware that users share their information.

According to a study, 10 percent of Netflix users don't pay for the service. 35 percent of Millennials say they share their passwords, versus just 13 percent of baby boomers.

Netflix misses roughly $135 million in sales based off users who don't pay for the service and get a shared password.

It's not surprising that Netflix wants to start cracking down on shared passwords but they haven't given out any plans on how they will go about it.

I'm curious to see how they stop password sharing...
