The rape case against Nelly in Washington state has been dropped, TMZ reports.

Nelly was accused of raping a woman on his tour bus in October, however, weeks later, the accuser refuser to testify and said she wanted the case dropped. The case, nevertheless, remained open, ultimately leaving it to prosecutors to press charges. Prosecutors are now saying it's "impossible for them to go forward with charging Nelly with any crime," because of the accuser's unwillingness to cooperate, reports TMZ.

The alleged victim’s attorney, Karen Koehler, posted a statement via Twitter on Oct. 13 explaining why her client wanted to put a stop to the criminal investigation. Koehler says the woman "wishes she had not called 911 because she believes the system is going to fail her."

"She wonders who is she to go by her small 'unimportant' self against a celebrity. Who will believe her. People are saying horrible things already," the statement reads. "She cannot handle this. She is about to break. She wants to close the door. She wants this to end. She just cannot bear it."

Nelly's attorney, Scott Rosenblum, called the rape claim a "completely fabricated allegation." The St. Louis rapper, himself, also vehemently denied the allegations as well.

"Let me say that I am beyond shocked that I have been targeted with this false allegation," the rapper posted on Twitter back in October. "I am completely innocent. I am confident that once the facts are looked at , it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation."
