Buffalo is officially on the map in the rap game these days, thanks in big part to Griselda Records. Each member of the rap trio Griselda; Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher has solidified themselves not only on the artist side but the business side of things as well.

Conway the Machine launched his own label, Drumwork Music and has recently let it be known via his Instagram that he did not come to play. He introduced his over 340k followers to two fellow Buffalo Kids that he has signed in a photo with them, himself and rapper Papoose. Yes, rappers Jae Skeese and 7xvethegenius (Love the Genius) made their debut as Buffalo's next to blow and fans are responding with anticipation because if you got a stamp from Conway the Machine? You most definitely have something the music world needs.

A few months ago I had the pleasure of interviewing hands down one of the smartest people I've talked to to date, and it became immediately clear as to why she's labeled a genius. In a very female friendly rap industry today, it's definitely not as difficult to make a name for oneself, if the lyrics are on a bit more raunchy side that is. However, to have raw bar for bar talent without gimmicks may prove to be a bit more challenging, but not when you have both the talent of 7xvethegenius and a co-sign from one of the hottest rappers in the game. Check out my interview with the genius herself below and learn more about this dynamic emerging artist hailing from Buffalo, New York!
