Malls Can Reopen In WNY Starting Friday With Measures In Place

This is news we’ve been waiting on, for what seems like weeks.

According to Governor Andrew Cuomo at his press conference this morning, malls in New York State can reopen starting Friday (July 10th) for regions in Phase 4, which includes Western New York.

However, malls MUST have enchanted HVAC filtration systems and measures in place in order to be allowed to reopen.

Malls, movie theaters and gyms were not part of the Phase 4 reopening plan originally, and had to be given the green light later on in the fourth reopening phase.

Malls haven’t been open since March. Social distancing guidelines will be in place, including masks required for both customers and employees.
