Trying his best not to be another artist in the Bad Boy graveyard, Los drops this 17-track mixtape titled 'Becoming King.' With high hopes of becoming the next rap king, is this too much of a lofty goal for the Bad Boy artist?

With features from labelmate Cassie, Ludacris, Twista, Pusha T, and boss Diddy, Los more than delivers with the talented guests. Since big name artists are on the project, it would be easy to get outdone, but Los holds his own here with some notable verses on 'Becoming King.'

Paying homage to the greatest Bad Boy artists of all-time, the Notorious B.I.G., Los, with help from Fantasia, puts out his take on 'Sky Is the Limit.' While she sings the original hook, Los drops some familiar lines from the late Brooklyn emcee. "It was all a dream / I used to read XXL magazine / Puff Daddy and Biggie Smalls in the limousine / Hanging pictures on my wall / Do you get the picture I paint for all y'all." As it may not be the original (nothing compares to B.I.G.), it's still a nice remake of a timeless classic.

On the drug-inspired 'Dope,' Los has none other than Pusha T and Yo Gotti to help him. The trio knock this one out of the park. Los raps "My n----s strength the walls of those pyrex as I thank the lord for my progress." Not that great of a line but he does paint the picture of the song with it.

Los may not be moving anyone off of their rap thrones with this one, however, his lyrics are forcing listeners to take note of his skills.
