Lloyd Banks' family is about to expand. Nearly two years after welcoming his first child, a daughter, Banks now has a baby boy on the way.

The New York rapper hopped on Instagram on Thursday (Sept. 20) to reveal the news, posting a photo of blue balloons. "It’s a BOY!!! Now I can rest well 😅 you know what that means..timbs..fitted caps..hoodies..Jordan’s and headbands.. 🏀🏈⚾️ and 🎤 PLK all over again..fall back @__acl27 lol," Banks wrote in the caption.

Over on Twitter, the self-proclaimed punchline king even gave his future son a nickname, labeling him "PLK jr."

Last year, Banks shared a photo of his daughter Christina on Instagram along with a heartfelt caption. "My ❤️ makes everything ok..," the rapper wrote. Since then, Banks has been sharing more photos of the baby and even posted pics from her first birthday party in December.

In related news, earlier this year, Banks sent his fans into a frenzy when he hinted at retirement on Twitter. "I fell in love with Hip Hop over 25 years ago," he wrote. "It was that thing I turned to during good times and bad..just wanna say thank you to the artist B4 me that inspired me..and send my appreciation to everyone that supported me till this day THANK YOU!!  With that being said..I think it’s time to lay it down."

Fortunately for his supporters, Banks hopped back on Twitter to put the rumors to rest, tweeting, "I have to announce to you, that I will never retire."
