Afrika Bambaataa has been under a lot scrutiny since allegations surfaced about him molesting underage boys during the ‘70s and ‘80s. And famed rapper KRS-One has made some controversial remarks regarding Bambaataa’s situation.

During his interview on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast, the Boogie Down Productions frontman made it clear that he doesn’t care about the allegations--and how they relate to Bambaataa's legacy.

“For me if you keep it hip-hop, nothing can be taken away from Afrika Bambaataa,” said KRS. “Nothing. Just keep it hip-hop. But if you want to dig into dude’s personal life and accusations that’s being made and so on...personally - me personally - I don’t give a f---."

"Look, if somebody was harmed or whatever, y’all gotta deal with that s---. Deal with it," he added. "That don’t stop hip-hop. That don’t stop what you did for hip-hop. It don’t take away none of it. History is history. But deal with that. That’s personal.”

Bambaataa has vehemently denied all the allegations. “This is false allegations that’s being put against me,” he said on the Ed Lover radio show. “A lot of lies, and it could be me today and you tomorrow. I completely deny all types of accusations.”

Former radio personality Star, who originally broke the story, recently called out KRS-One for being insensitive to the alleged victims.

"Now I don’t know about you, but that’s disturbing to me," Star told his audience (via AllHipHop.com). "Why would the Teacha – or the so-called Teacha – make such statements with regards to the babies of hip-hop? Is it because they’re grown black men and their voices are not equivalent to Caucasian voices that speak up about child molestation?"

Clearly, this is a sensitive topic that raises a lot more questions than answers.
