Juneteenth is one of Buffalo's most widely anticipated festivals our city has to offer. As a commemoration to the belated announcement of emancipation in Texas, this is a festival built on pride, and community strength. This past weekend was the Juneteenth festival, and tons of  local vendors and restaurants set up around Martin Luther King Park for a cultural celebration and parade.  The parade, which happens to be my favorite part of the festival, stretched through much of Genesee St. and featured all sorts of local organizations such as drill teams, community action organizations, and even the Mayor himself. Watch video footage of this year's Juneteenth celebration in Buffalo and share your thoughts on the festival.  Were you there? Did you take any good pictures? What does the message of Juneteenth mean to you? Share your thoughts on Facebook or wblk.com!
