July Was The Hottest Month On Earth Since Records Began 140 Years Ago
If last month seemed hotter than normal, it wasn't just you. Apparently, July of 2019 was the hottest month on Earth ever recorded.
According to WIVB, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says July of this year was 0.95 degrees Celsius warmer than the 20th century average for the month. In Fahrenheit, that's 1.71 degrees.
Several European countries reported all-time record highs and scientists say the trend of warmer temperatures will likely continue with man-made climate change.
June also saw a record warm month in the past 140 years but 2019 is slightly behind 2016.
