The Buffalo Bills picked Josh Allen with the 7th overall pick in the 2018 draft.  And from these reactions, it's a good thing the fans weren't making the picks.

Josh Allen has been the best thing that the Bills franchise has seen in decades.  He's come to this city and embraced it like no other player has.  He's broken records that have been here since the 90's and is arguably one of the best Buffalo Bills ever.

But if you would have taken the fans' advice when we were up at the podium getting ready to pick him, a lot of them would have told the front office not to do it.

Many of them were FURIOUS when the Bills picked Allen.  It's crazy how much they hated the pick.

However, it's a good example of how the internet becomes a home for the loud (and often wrong) opinions of people who wouldn't normally say the things they think they can say online. It also shows how much we are led to believe just by what the "experts" tell us to think.

For weeks, "Draft Experts" had continually ranked other quarterbacks higher than Josh Allen leading up to the draft.  The top 4 that year were without a doubt Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen (not necessarily in that order).  Darnold has already been traded once, Rosen went through 5 teams in 4 seasons (The Cardinals, The Dolphins, The Buccaneers, The 49ers, and The Falcons), and Baker Mayfield is on his way out from Cleveland.

None have been more successful than Allen.

Yet you would have thought we were headed for another 20 years of terrible football if you would have believed what the Bills fans on Twitter had to say about it.  I think it's fair to say that these fans didn't "trust the process." None of these aged well...

How many of those same people that had those awful takes on Josh Allen do you think have gone out to buy his jersey ever since that day?
