Joe Biden has made his choice of which woman will be his running mate in the 2020 Presidential Election.
As a woman of color, I never thought I'd see the day that there was a real chance a woman who looks like me could be the Vice President of the United States of America! Joe Biden has announced that Kamala Harris will be his running mate as he takes on Trump in the 2020 election.
There are so many little girls here in Buffalo and around the U.S., who can really dream about having someone who looks like them in the White House. We have been waiting for a while for Biden to announce his pick, it seemed like forever, honestly.
"I've decided that Kamala Harris is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then to lead this nation starting in January 2021." ~ Joe Biden via CNN
Some people might consider it a step down for Kamala, who initially ran campaigned to be the Democratic nominee for President. However you see it, this is another chance for a woman to have a seat at the table in the Executive Branch!
