When it comes to fashion, Jaden Smith isn’t afraid to challenge gender roles. The son of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith has caused an uproar on social media over a particular clothing item -- a dress. The actor was recently photographed in Calabasas, Calif., wearing a black dress.
As the photo started circulated on the internet, Smith went on Twitter and confessed that he did indeed wore a dress. “That Moment When Your Wearing A Dress With No Pants And You Swerve Way To Hard,” he tweeted o his five million followers.
If you look closely at the photo above, Jaden is wearing denim shorts under the dress. The 16-year-old budding rapper accessorized his outfit with leopard printed socks and black Nike sneakers.
Apparently, Jaden has alluded to wearing women's clothes before. Last Tuesday (April 7), he shared a selfie of himself in the women's department at a clothing store. "Went To TopShop To Buy Some Girl Clothes. I Mean 'Clothes'," he wrote in the caption.
Jaden seems to be taken the media ruckus in stride. Today (April 11), he posted a photo of himself wearing a very looong T-shirt that could be perceived as a dress.
