
Dangerous Hand Soap Recall Gets Bigger in New York
Do you have this soap in your home? If so, you might want to stop using it immediately.
There was a huge recall of soap by DermaRite Industries earlier this year. It was a voluntary recall as some of their soaps may have contained a harmful contamination. That recall has now grown even larger, and these products can be found here in New York State.
The latest recall adds 16 brands to the list, including deodorant, hand sanitizers, general cleaners, and skin protectants. Check out the list below to see if you have any of these products.

The containment DemraRite Industries is concerned with is called Burkholderia cepacia complex. It's dangerous for people in particular who are immunocompromised, as it can cause pneumonia, among other health ailments. So, it's a potentially life-threatening containment.
The products have nationwide distribution, including New YOkr State. The company has notified many people who might have purchased this product by email, but we all know how emails can get lost these days. If you have one of these products, return it to the store you purchased it from or throw it away. Do not continue to use it.
