Snow Covered Road Expected Across Western New York
Even though snow plows made the rounds on Sunday, if you have to be on the roads today, you will notice that a lot of roads are still snow-covered. The reason is the cold temperatures.
Salt loses its effectiveness in colder weather, so when slowplows make their runs and drop salt, it doesn't melt the snow like it would when temperatures are above freezing.
That snow will turn into slush as more vehicles drive over it, making for a slippery ride around Western New York.
