Several $100,000 Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In New York State

If you bought a Powerball ticket for last night's drawing, you could be $100,000 richer today. The New York State Lottery announced that there was not one, not two, but three $100,000 winning tickets sold in the state from Monday's drawing.

Last night's Powerball drawing was a lucky one for several lottery players in New York State. The New York State Lottery announced that three 3rd place winning tickets were sold in New York from the August 3rd drawing.

Those tickets all matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number to win big. Each one of those tickets also had the "Powerplay," which doubled the winning amount, so instead of winning $50,000 each, those tickets each won $100,000 dollars.
