Another strong storm passed through Western New York today.  This time it was right in the city of Buffalo and it included a tornado.

We are often picked on for our weather here in Buffalo.  Normally it's for our extreme cold and heavy snow storms.  But over the last couple of months, we've seen even more extreme weather events happening.

It was just a few short weeks ago that multiple tornadoes touched down in towns like Eden, Hamburg, Holland, and more.  They left behind a trail of destruction with many farms and households getting demolished. Today, we saw it again, only it happened in the city of Buffalo.

There were multiple camera angles of this one as it reached shore at LaSalle Park and tore off a roof on Niagara Street.

This video was shared by Braxton Banks.  It is sped up, but it helps you to see it even better as it rolls through Buffalo.

I've lived in the Western New York area for 46 years now and I can't remember when we had as many tornadoes in one year as we have this year.  As I mentioned above, we've always had to deal with extreme winter weather, but I can count on one hand how many times we've ever had to be concerned about major tornadoes coming through.

Hopefully everyone is ok.  There haven't been any reports of people being injured due to the tornado yet today.
