When I was growing up in north Amherst, there was a lot of businesses that you could go to. The north towns have an abundance of restaurants that the south towns in Western New York simply doesn't have.

Niagara Falls Blvd. and Transit Rd. have tons of local and national restaurants, all in close proximity. If you have driven in Amherst, Williamsville and even Depew and Cheektowaga have quite a few restaurants that you can choose from -- often times, multiple locations of one place.

That's certainly the case for Tully's Good Times, which is a sports bar and restaurant that was started in Batavia and is now most popular in Buffalo and Syracuse.

There are three Tully's locations in the Buffalo region: Amherst, Clarence and Cheektowaga/Depew.

If you live in Hamburg or Orchard Park, it's a 20-plus minute drive to any of those locations. They're always crowded and have a built-in fanbase with the tenders and tons of TV's.

They need to bring a location to Hamburg, and more specifically, the location in Hamburg that's next to the Walmart on Southwestern Blvd. and Rogers Rd.

That area has been vacant for the longest time and it's picture perfect for a popular restaurant to set up shop. This would mean those who live in Hamburg would no longer have to drive all the way to the north towns to get their Tully's fix.

Being next to as Walmart would also be an added bonus for customer traffic. It makes too much sense.

Where else do you think they should put a Tully's in Western New York?
