The Buffalo Bills began mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. It's the final workout program for the players and coaches this off-season.

Training camp is six weeks away.

The Bills, along with all 32 NFL teams, go through a mandatory minicamp in June. All players must attend that minicamp; unlike OTA's, where it's voluntary.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott met with the Buffalo media before Tuesday's afternoon practice and the first question McDermott got was no surprise: "is everyone in attendance? More specifically, Stefon Diggs.

McDermott said that everyone was in attendance, except Diggs. He is not at mandatory minicamp.

McDermott added that he's very concerned...

Diggs has not shown up for any of the OTA's held at One Bills Drive this spring. Normally, he doesn't show up for those, but missing minicamp is a much different story. These are mandatory.

We have not seen or heard from Diggs since he was visibly upset after the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Divisional round back in January. He was visibly upset on the sideline in front of Josh Allen, Matt Barkely and quarterbacks coach Joe Brady.

Diggs left the locker room before the media had a chance to enter and ask questions. The last time he had any interaction with the media was at the start of the 2022 playoffs.

This is not good. It hasn't been a big story until now, and McDermott didn't sound pleased. We don't yet know why Diggs hasn't shown up for minicamp or any of the OTA workouts.

Hopefully, we get answers soon.

UPDATE:

Adam Benigni of WGRZ reports that Diggs was at team facilities for pre-minicamp medical testing...but did not report to camp on Tuesday.
