Rite Aid is set to close even MORE stores in New York State. They owe $3.3 billion in debts. Here are what Rite Aids that are closing.
Earlier in 2023, there have been a lot of changes announced from many big-name pharmacies including Rite Aid, Walgreens and CVS. Some of the changes included many store closings and some included limiting the hours of operation.
Rite Aid previously announced tons of closings including:
- 1717 Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls
- 1625 Broadway in Buffalo
- 291 W. Ferry Street in Buffalo
- 535 Portland Ave, Rochester, NY 14621
- 97th and Columbus, Manhattan NY
- 583 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, NY
- 4900 Broadway, Depew, NY 14043
Rite Aid announced that nobody will be losing their jobs and that all employees will be offered jobs and different Rite Aids that are as close as possible.
They are filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, so many of the Rite Aids that are closing are having some MASSIVE sales going on right now. The ones that are closing down have discounts that are up to 95%. Now after going into some of the Rite Aid stores that are closing down, I found that the only items that are not marked down or discounted are medications.
