There is a new virtual reality exhibit at the Buffalo Zoo that families can now enjoy, and it is a great addition to the animals and attractions at the zoo! For a fee of $7, you can experience your choice of a variety of things to virtually explore.

We are blessed to have so many great things to see and do here in Western New York all year round. But the Buffalo Zoo is a staple for families and continues to update and find new and creative ways to move the fun meter forward. Our kids love the zoo, and our son wanted to spend his seventh birthday among the animals. We found the new VR experience as we entered the Rainforest Falls.

The Buffalo Zoo is celebrating 150 years this year and is the third-oldest zoo in the entire United States! According to historic records, the first animal donated was a deer! "Originally conceived as a deer park in the northeast corner of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Delaware Park, the Buffalo Zoo was established in 1875".

Fast forward to 2025, and the Buffalo Zoo is a great place to learn about animals and their habitats and how WE can help protect them. This includes a VR experience that can help educate us on things of the past, like dinosaurs!

All three of our boys loved the VR experience. There is a fee and a height requirement to get into the seat area for the experience. It moves up and down with the video, and the kids score it a 10 out of 10 on the fun scale!
