The Buffalo Sabres officially open up their season tonight in Buffalo, New York and there is a couple of free things that everyone in attendance is going to be getting!

The Buffalo Sabres are hosting the New York Rangers at 7 PM for the home opener of the Sabres season after locking in some big, key contracts for some Buffalo Sabres players.

Both Owen Power and Rasmus Dahlin both signed long-term, major contracts leading into the opener tonight.

Here are the two items that you can get for FREE if you are heading down to the Key Bank Center for the game:

  • The first 5,000 fans that are going to the Party in the Plaza before the game will get a Buffalo Sabres Rally Towel.
  • All fans that have bought a ticket to the game will find a commemorative RJ way sign.

Kevyn Adams, general manager of the Buffalo Sabres has locked in a core of Buffalo Sabres that he thinks is the future of the team. Right now, there are 5 Buffalo Sabres players that are locked in contracts to play through at least 2030. In addition, Alex Tuch at 27 years old is also locked in until 2026.

The Sabres are expected to be a pretty good team this year. Fans are trying to be hopeful, too. Buffalo has not made it to the playoffs in 12 years and have not won a playoff series in 16 years. Go Sabres.
