Popular Buffalo Restaurant Opens Again in a New Location

The pandemic was tough on everyone, especially the restaurant industry. There were two separate closures due to rising COVID-19 cases in Erie County, which forced restaurants to only offer delivery and takeout.

Some restaurants decided to close its doors, whether it was temporary or permanent; in order to save money and cost.

The City of Buffalo saw quite a few restaurants close in 2020 or 2021, due to the pandemic. It's sad to see longstanding restaurants close its doors and customers hated seeing them leave.

One of the Buffalo restaurants that closed during the height of the pandemic was Acropolis OPA.

Acropolis closed its Elmwood location in 2021 and many customers in the Elmwood Village were sad to see the iconic Greek restaurant close.

However, Acropolis is back and this time, in Williamsville.

According to their Facebook page, Acropolis OPA is open in Williamsville at the old Newbury Salads site; which is also owned by the owner of Acropolis.

Buffalo Business First reported on the new location this past week.

They have been open for about a month now and if you drive by the new location, you can tell they're busy.

It should be noted that they're usually only open for breakfast and lunch. They're closed on Mondays, with an 8 am to 4 pm window every other day, except for Thursday, which they are open for dinner.

They're located next to the Rite Aid, near California Drive. 5429 Main Street in Williamsville.

The Elmwood Ave. location was a legendary place for great Greek and breakfast food in the Elmwood Village. It's awesome that Acropolis is back.
