It looks like we have a date for when the Toronto Blue Jays are back to Buffalo, and details on how fans can see the action.

The Major League Baseball team called Sahlen Field home last year, due to international border closures resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.

Restrictions at the border remain, as Canada and the province of Ontario works to decrease COVID infection numbers, and increase numbers of vaccinated people.

The team has confirmed the move to Buffalo.

WGRZ reports fans will allowed, but attendance will be limited to 24% capacity at Sahlen Field -- this is what New York State and Erie County guidelines allow.

Tickets for the first eight home games will go on sale to the general public on May 13 at 10 a.m.

Back in February, The Toronto Sun reported that Blue Jays president Mark Shapiro said he "expects the Jays to go through a Dunedin-Buffalo-Toronto shuttle before the 162-game season is complete."
He added that he sees the Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto "as the ultimate destination" for the team.

The Toronto Blue Jays began playing their regular season home games at TD Ballpark in Dunedin last month.

Preparations at Sahlen Field have been underway for some time, and anyone who regularly drives by the ballpark has seen the Blue Jays branding all over the signage.

The Blue Jays had the best home-field record in all of MLB last season at 17-9 while playing at Sahlen Field in Buffalo.
