Buffalo isn't exactly the mecca of national fast food chains. Let's be honest about that.

This is a region which loves and supports local restaurants, while a vast majority of the national fast food chains consist of McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, etc.

However, Chick-fil-A came to Western New York in 2018 with a location on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga. They next opened a new location on Transit Road and Losson Road in Cheektowaga, near Lancaster in 2019.

Now, Chick-fil-A is preparing to open up its third location and finally it will be a location in the southtowns.

Chick-fil-A is almost ready to open their new Hamburg location, which will be located on Milestrip near McKinley. It will be down the road from Wegmans and the McKinley Mall.

The water cooler talk lately with residents in Hamburg is "when will it open?" It does look ready to go but according to the Chick-fil-A Hamburg's Facebook comments, they hope to open by mid-November and will have a grand opening date announcement soon.

Until then, they gave upcoming customers a look inside the new restaurant and it looks sharp.

I live south of Buffalo and there are so many restaurants that are only in the northtowns, whether they're local or national restaurants. Everything in the Amherst, Clarence, Williamsville and Cheektowaga areas are so condensed, while it's far more spread out in the southtowns.

I know a lot of people who are very happy a Chick-fil-A will be coming to Hamburg.
