“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, our Park is temporarily closed. We are disappointed with this unexpected outcome as we have gone above and beyond what has been asked of us in terms of health and safety measures. We thank you for your patience and awesome guest support today and we are so happy to be part of your community. Please stand by for updates.” Urban Air and Adventure Park via Facebook

Urban Air and Adventure Park, a new trampoline and family adventure entertainment center in Walden Galleria, was ordered to shut down this weekend, according to WIVB. The Erie County Department of Health closed the business, which had just recently opened. Under the current COVID-19 NY Forward guidelines for reopening, trampoline parks are considered indoor amusements, which are not permitted to open yet.

The Erie County Department of Health issued a statement regarding the closing,

“Public health sanitarians visited these locations Saturday afternoon. In addition to these facilities being open, the public health sanitarians observed improper masking and inadequate physical distancing measures on site.”

In order to reopen, Urban Air will need to wait until reopening guidelines are issued by New York State. Then it will need to develop its reopening plan and have it approved by the Erie County Department of Health.
