I.R.S. will give Tax Refunds During Shutdown
There has been a lot of speculation about will people be getting their Tax refund checks because with the government shutdown, who's there to release them? A lot of folks on social media mentioned that the government will not be giving out the great refund check which a lot of family depend on and have already budgeted for. A lot of folks where pissed last week when they heard the news on CNN and other news outlets but alot can chance in a day or two.
According to CNBC, “Tax refunds will go out,” Russell T. Vought, acting director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, told reporters in an afternoon briefing.
Check out the IRS website, for statistics, by February 2nd last year over 18 million individual returns had been filed with the agency and issued more than 6 million refunds, totaling $12.6 billion — an average refund of $2,035 and agency issued more than $324 billion in refunds for all of 2018. That's a lot of money and I'm glad will be dispersing it this year so now people don't have to worry.
