Now that winter has finally arrived in Buffalo and Western New York, it's time to get to work on making sure that we're snow-ready. Like one of the most popular television shows says often: winter is coming, and with proof of that on the ground right now all over Western, Central, and Northern New York, now is the time to make sure you've done all the things that need to be done around the house.
Heating costs this winter are expected to be higher than they've been in years, and things don't look like they're going to get better. Even though there are government programs that can help low-income New Yorkers pay the bills, like HEAP, most Americans don't qualify for the help and are going to be on thier own this winter.
What Are Some Tips To Help Control Heating Bills
With this being a reality we have to live with today, plus the fact that it's only going to get colder, there are several things we can do at home to help control how much energy we use, which will help us control costs.
If my Dad were still alive today, he would have all sorts of things that we could do in the house to save energy and money on heating.
