Hip New Restaurant Is Open in Downtown Buffalo
Downtown Buffalo seems like a ghost town when it comes to restaurants. Outside of Chippewa street, it seems like a lot of spots closed at the start of the pandemic and haven't opened up. Other spots were victims of the COVID-19 pandemic - forced to close their doors due to the restrictions and lack of customers. Well, there's new life downtown. A new restaurant and bar called Vice has opened.
Vice, which describes itself as a wood-fired whiskey bar on its Instagram page, looks like it has the ambiance and menu to be a hot spot in Atlanta, Chicago or even Miami. I haven't been in personally, but the pictures are certainly making me want to check it out this weekend. I'm not a whiskey-drinker, but judging from the photos below, I'm sure I can find something else to enjoy. Vice's grand opening was just about two weeks ago, on February 11. It has a 4.2-star rating on Google, with 5 reviews so far. As someone who lives close to downtown, I'm always looking for good spots to check out. Sometimes I want to get dressed up and enjoy a good meal with my folks.
Vice's menu boasts small plates like Brussel sprouts with candied bacon and balsamic glaze a Charcuterie board. You can also enjoy soups, salads, burgers, including the vegan Beyond burger, tacos, wood-fired pizzas, pasta, steak, pork chops, and more. It even has four desserts available. You can see the full menu here.
Vice is located at 500 Pearl Street, which is close to Tupper Street. I'm not sure how busy they are, so you might want to call ahead at (716) 424-0088 to see if a reservation is needed. You may see me there if you go this weekend.
